Step 1: Set Up Your Nexvio.ai Chatbot

To integrate your Nexvio.ai chatbot with WhatsApp, begin by logging into your Nexvio.ai account. If you haven’t already created an account, you can sign up for a free account. After signing in, you can configure your bot within the Nexvio.ai platform by uploading relevant data sources, such as FAQs, product information, or service details, which the bot can use to build its knowledge base.

Step 2: Set Up Meta Business Account and WhatsApp Business

  1. Create a Meta Business account at business.facebook.com if you don’t already have one.

  2. Set up a WhatsApp Business account through the Meta Business Suite.

  3. Verify your business phone number following WhatsApp’s verification process.

  4. Make sure your WhatsApp Business account is active and in good standing.

Step 3: Configure WhatsApp Business API

  1. Navigate to the Meta Developer Portal at developers.facebook.com.

  2. Create a new app or use an existing one.

  3. Add the WhatsApp Business API as a product to your app.

  4. Set up your WhatsApp Business API configuration including:

    • Phone number verification
    • Message templates approval (for proactive messaging)
    • Webhook configuration

Step 4: Connect Nexvio.ai to WhatsApp

  1. In your Nexvio.ai dashboard, navigate to the specific bot you want to connect and go to the Connect tab.

  2. Look for the WhatsApp integration option and click on it.

  3. You’ll be prompted to enter your WhatsApp Business API credentials:

    • Phone Number ID
    • Access Token
    • Webhook Verify Token
  4. Configure your message handling preferences:

    • Set up welcome messages
    • Define fallback responses
    • Configure business hours
    • Set up handover protocols to human agents when needed
  5. Click “Connect” to finalize the integration.

Step 5: Test Your WhatsApp Integration

  1. Send a message to your WhatsApp Business number from a different WhatsApp account.

  2. Your Nexvio.ai chatbot should automatically respond based on your configured settings.

  3. Test various scenarios to ensure your bot handles different types of inquiries correctly.

  4. Check your Nexvio.ai dashboard to review the conversation logs and make any necessary adjustments.
