Chatbox Sources

The Sources section allows you to manage all the knowledge sources that your Nexvio.ai chatbots use to generate accurate and relevant responses.

Understanding Sources

Sources are the foundation of your chatbot’s knowledge. They provide the information your AI agents use to answer questions and assist users. Nexvio.ai supports various types of sources:

  • Documents: PDFs, Word documents, text files
  • Websites: Web pages and websites
  • Databases: Structured data from databases
  • APIs: Data from third-party APIs
  • Custom Knowledge: Manually entered information

Managing Sources

To access the Sources dashboard:

  1. Log in to your Nexvio.ai dashboard
  2. Navigate to Chatbox > Sources
  3. View all your current knowledge sources

Adding New Sources

Add knowledge to your chatbot by adding new sources:

Adding Documents

  1. Click Add Source > Document
  2. Upload your file (PDF, DOCX, TXT, etc.)
  3. Set processing options (language, chunking strategy, etc.)
  4. Click Process Document

Adding Websites

  1. Click Add Source > Website
  2. Enter the URL of the website
  3. Choose crawling options (depth, exclusions, etc.)
  4. Click Start Crawling

Adding Custom Knowledge

  1. Click Add Source > Custom Knowledge
  2. Enter questions and their corresponding answers
  3. Organize them into categories if needed
  4. Click Save

Managing Source Quality

Ensure your sources provide high-quality information:

  • Source Analysis: Check the quality and coverage of your sources
  • Content Gaps: Identify information gaps in your knowledge base
  • Redundancy Detection: Find and eliminate duplicate information
  • Source Prioritization: Set which sources should be preferred for specific topics

Source Settings

Configure how each source is processed and used:

  • Weight: Determine the priority of a source relative to others
  • Update Frequency: Set how often web sources should be recrawled
  • Processing Depth: Configure how thoroughly documents are analyzed
  • Access Control: Manage which team members can edit each source
  • Version History: Track changes to your knowledge sources over time

Testing Sources

Verify your sources are working correctly:

  1. Go to the Test tab
  2. Ask questions related to your sources
  3. See which sources are providing information for each answer
  4. Review answer quality and accuracy

Best Practices

To get the most out of your knowledge sources:

  • Keep sources up-to-date with the latest information
  • Use a variety of source types for comprehensive coverage
  • Regularly review source performance in the Analytics section
  • Remove outdated or inaccurate sources promptly
  • Organize sources into logical categories for easier management
